@joshuapsteele to augment what @marmanold said, bootcamps can be really valuable if they have employer connections. As someone who went the bootcamp route, I can attest that getting my first gig after was tricky (I chose an online bootcamp w/o employer connections).

Also, if you have some Ruby experience already, Launch School’s open bookshelf is a great resource for getting a solid grasp of web dev fundamentals. freeCodeCamp is also really good.
